At the center of our philosophy lies the dynamic balance between Well-Being and Student Development. Driven by core principles like Student Voice, Learning & Ownership, and Safe & Inclusive Environments, this framework ensures every student has the structure needed to achieve their full potential.

Student leadership development
At Holy Innocents' Primary School, we believe that every child is a leader. Student leadership development begins with self-leadership — nurturing each student to take ownership of their learning, actions, and character. Beyond this, we provide tiered leadership opportunities for students who wish to serve in greater capacities, including Subject Leaders, Peer Support Leaders, Class Leaders, Prefects, and the Prefect Executive Committee. Our student leaders undergo purposeful leadership trainings to equip them with the skills, values, and confidence to lead with heart and purpose. Prefects are formally recognised through our annual Prefect Investiture, a meaningful ceremony that marks their commitment to serve the school community. To deepen their leadership journey, our Prefects also participate in level signature programmes specially designed to stretch their potential and build their capacity as role models at each stage of their development. Together, these experiences shape our students into leaders of character who are ready to contribute meaningfully to their school, community, and beyond.
